PURPOSE:To enlarge the effective area of screen by containing the screen in an enlarged chaber of the suction hole of cylinder while pressure contacting the flange section of screen against the continuous end face between the innercircumferential faces of the suction hole and the enlarged chamber. CONSTITUTION:A strainer 32 is comprised of a rectangular box screen 34 formed withflange section 33 at the edge of opening and a frame 36 having a frame section 35 engagable with the flange section 33 of said screen 34. The screen 34 is contained in the enlarged chamber 30 of cylinder 25 to contact the flange section 33 of said screen 34 against the continuous end face section 31 while to stop the flange section 33 by means of the frame section 35 of a resilient supporting chip 37. With such structure, the screen 34 will inflate at the communicating section between the suction hle 28 and the enlarged chamber 30 resulting in large effective screen area.
