PURPOSE:Cells are allowed to flow together with a buffer solution along the path for classification into partitioned small cases at a high speed to form a combination of 2 different kinds of cells, then a cell-fusing agent is added dropwise to effect automatic and high-speed cell fusion in large amounts. CONSTITUTION:The objective device is provided with nozzle 35 for jetting a buffer solution together with cells, detector 47 for cell in the tubular path, electrodes 51, 52, 53, 54 which are arranged in an equal interval in zigzag on wall surfaces of the path, the voltage generator and fractionation cases 36 for containing individual cells jetted from the nozzle and driving mechanism 37 for cases 36. The output from the cell detector 46 controls the voltage generator for electrodes to arrange cells in an equal interval in the tubular path, then the valve and driving mechanism are operated to introduce a couple of different cells through nozzle into the each case. Then, a cell-fusing agent is added dropwise into each case to effect cell fusion. |
