PURPOSE:To reduce the labor of a driver by operating the angular difference between the advance direction to the destination of an automobile and the present advance direction and indicating the direction, in which the automobile should advance, to the driver. CONSTITUTION:Signals from a direction sensor 2 which uses terrestrial magnetism or the like to detect an absolute direction, a direction sensor 3 which uses an optical gyro or the like to detect a relative direction, a car speed pulse sensor 4 which detects a covered distance, an operation switch 5, and an external storage device 6 of map information or the like are inputted to a microcomputer 1 of a nagivation system. The running distance, the advance direction, and the present position are calculated by an arithmetic part, and the advance direction is transmitted. For example, a destination 108 is indicated on a map information display 7, and the angle between the direction vector of the destination and the advance direction vector of the automobile is detected when the present position is indicated by 104, and right turn and advance indications are transmitted with a voice in a position 105 before an intersection. Consequently, the driving labor of the driver is reduced. |
