The invention relates to a portable device for decontamination of objects, especially of garments, using hot air and/or steam, in which a closed container 1 is provided. A suspension and transporting means 2, 3 for clothes-hangers is located in the container 1, the suspension means comprising a pressure pipe 2 with downwardly pointing openings 5. The clothes-hangers 4 are made hollow, extended conically toward the pressure pipe 2 and are provided with passage bores 6. The hot air supplied via the pipe 2 cleans the garments 35 and is drawn off via the suction pipe 7. <IMAGE>
