PURPOSE:To impart an air permeable characteristic, chemical resistance and thermal durability to filter cloth and to enhance the shake-off property thereof by smoothing the surface thereof, by forming an aramid resin film to a filtering grade knitted fabric. CONSTITUTION:A total aromatic polyamide resin is dissolved in a polar solvent and a water repelling agent, a plasticizer, a stabilizer and a softener are mixed with the resulting solution in a proper amount if necessary to prepare a dope. A fibrous structure is impregnated or coated with this dope while the dope is coagulated according to a dry or wet process to form an aramid resin film to the surface of said fibrous structure to smooth the same. Further, the coated fibrous structure is pref. treated under such a heating and pressure condition that temp. is 130-300 deg.C, linear pressure is 50-200kg/cm and a treating speed is 2-10m/min in order to obtain filter cloth. |
