摘要 PURPOSE:To perforate cells and control the life of the resultant holes, by focusing the first pulse laser beams for perforating the cells and the second laser beams for changing the fluidity of the cells, and irradiating the cells with the laser beams. CONSTITUTION:Pulse laser beams 2 emitted from a short pulse laser beam source using the third higher harmonics of yttrium-aluminum-garnet (YAG) laser beams having about 355nm wavelength, several nsec pulse width and several mJ/ pulse output are transmitted through beam splitter 7. On the other hand, laser beams 4 capable of activating lipid or protein of cell walls by light absorption or heat using the same third higher harmonics and emitted from a laser beam source 3 are focused by a lens 5, reflected by the splitter 7 to be in agreement with the optical axis of the laser beams 2, and passed through a lens 6 to irradiate cells 8. Cells 12 are irradiated with laser beams 11 obtained by focusing the laser beams 4 to a diameter somewhat larger than that of the cells 12 to change the fluidity of the cell wall, and the cells 12 are irradiated with pulse laser beams 10, obtained by focusing the laser beams 2 with the lens 6, and having <=1mum focus diameter and perforated.
