摘要 |
The invention relates to composite materials for prosthetic purposes, which comprise a plastic matrix and an inorganic X-ray-opaque filler which contains, as its essential constituents, a combination of compounds of the elements Sr, La and W. The proportion of filler in the composite material as a whole is between 20 and 90% by weight. The filler particles are in silanised form as glass and/or as glass-ceramic and/or as a sintered product and/or in the form of a mixture of its starting components and comprise (in % by weight): 10-29 SrO, 1-18 La2O3, 1-21 WO3, 16-60 SiO2, 1-27 B2O3, 1-32 Al2 O3, 0-10 Na2O. Partial replacement of one or more compounds causing the X-ray opacity (SrO, WO3, La2O3) by oxides of the elements Ca, Mg, Zn, Zr, Ti, Ta, Nb and/or Y is possible. A composite material precursor contains, in addition to the X-ray-opaque filler, at least one acrylate and/or methacrylate and a polymerisation catalyst. The composite material proposed or its precursor is used, in particular, in the dental sector or as bone cement.
