Support construction for a support rail (24), such as e.g. a crane rail, which support construction comprises a row of bearing plates (27) which are arranged one behind the other in the longitudinal direction of the rail and which are supported via a plastic bed (23) on a concrete foundation (22), the bearing plates (27) being fastened on the foundation (22) at fixed spacings by means of anchoring bolts (28), and the rail foot (25) being secured on the bearing plate (27) by means of rail clamps (29) which are likewise arranged at fixed spacings, a plastic layer (26) being interposed between rail foot (25) and bearing plate (27), the width of the bearing plate (27) corresponding to the width of the rail foot (25) and the length of the bearing plate (27) being the same as said spacing between consecutive anchoring bolts (28) or rail clamps (29), while, on every longitudinal side edge of a bearing plate (27), an ear (32) is fastened, provided with a rail clamp (29) and an opening for the anchoring bolt (28). <IMAGE>
