The invention relates, as Figure 3 shows, to a fire-proof false ceiling comprising a load-bearing section 30, on the horizontal faces of which the actual false ceiling 40 bears. According to the invention, the ceramic/thin-layer nonwovens 10, 10' are fastened entirely or partially on the load-bearing section 30 and, if appropriate, are also bonded, by means of a water glass adhesive layer 20, together with the nonwovens fastened directly on the section. In a specific embodiment of the invention, the ceramic/thin-layer nonwovens 11 are fastened on the upper side of the actual false ceiling, likewise by means of a water glass adhesive layer 20. <IMAGE>
