发明名称 INSTRUMENT FOR MEASURING GASEOUS SULFUR DIOXIDE
摘要 PURPOSE:To measure exactly gaseous sulfur dioxide over a long period by disposing a cation exchange resin consisting of a fluorine-contg. high-polymer material as a base material into a flow passage for sampling a gaseous sample. CONSTITUTION:The gaseous sample is sucked through a suction flow passage 1 and is removed of dust by a filter 2. The gaseous sample is then introduced into a measuring pipe 4 through a flowmeter 3. A prescribed atm. of a hydrogen peroxide soln. acidified with sulfuric acid is filled into the pipe 4 by a pump 6 from a tank 5. The sulfur dioxide in the gaseous sample is oxidized to the sulfuric acid as the sample passes through the inside of said soln. The conductivity of the soln. is thereby increased and said conductivity is measured by electrodes 7, 7. The gaseous sample is released into the atm. by a discharge pump 8 after the gaseous sulfur dioxide is absorbed from said sample in the pipe 4. A column 20 for removing gaseous ammonia is disposed in the flow passage, for example, between the flowmeter 3 and the pipe 4. The cation exchange resin is packed in the column 20 to adsorb and remove the gaseous ammonia in the gaseous sample.
