In order to improve the cleaning effect in a hand-held nozzle for a vacuum cleaner having a housing which has a connection to a suction source and a suction aperture, it is proposed that an outlet nozzle be arranged in the housing, which outlet nozzle can be connected to a source of compressed gas and, in the region of the aperture, directs a jet of compressed gas against the surface to be cleaned.
