The building element is provided for connecting ceiling-support profiles in the case of false-ceiling structures, two profiled plug-in shoes 2 being movably connected by means of a hinge 3. An upwardly directed metal-sheet sector 7 is fastened on each plug-in shoe 2, arcuate slots 9 being made in said metal-sheet sectors 7. The arc of these slots 9 runs about the pivoting mid-point of the hinge 3. The two upright metal sheets 7 can be connected to each other, by connecting elements such as, for example, screws, at the slots 9 in an infinitely variable manner at any angle. <IMAGE>
