The method involves attaching a cleaning device (1) to a water pipeline and determining operating pressure forming a water line network, where the operating pressure lies between 3 to 7 bar. The water is heated to approximately 90 degree centigrade by using an instantaneous water heater (6). A spray gun (8) is provided in cleaning device for spraying the water, where the sprayed quantity of water lies between 0.6 and 1.5 liter/minute. An independent claim is also included for a cleaning device for cleaning small parts and machine parts.
