PURPOSE:To arrange so that a recording head and a platen may precisely be held and installed in positional relationship by providing a positioning part for determining the position of a recording head support to a platen in a heat-transfer-type printer. CONSTITUTION:A protrusion 51 running along the longitudinal direction of a platen 10 as a positioning part is integrally formed on the front lower edge of a support 31 of a thermal head 11 and in its inner corner, the lower edge of base 40 for the thermal head 11 is fitted in position. And a heating resistance 49 is positioned in the middle where the thermal head contacts pressed by the platen 10. Therefore, when the thermal head 11 is removed from the support 31 for maintenance, inspection or replacement and a new thermal head is to be installed, it is possible to make the heating resistance 49 to the platen 10 correctly without troublesome adjustment by impinging the edge of the base 40 to the protrusion 51. |
