PURPOSE:To obtain the titled equipment for bringing a torch to welding positioning by a proximity side sensor, and executing exactly and satisfactorily an automatic welding of a horizontal part, by supporting a torch base by a two stage roller pair mechanism which contacts to a truck and a shell, in case of welding a horizntal joining part of a tank shell. CONSTITUTION:A frame 37 installed freely turnably in the horizontal direction 36, to the tip of flexible vertical supports 32, 35 of a running truck 25 on a rail 24 is made to contact to a shell surface 21 and supported by a pair of adjustable 40 rollers 41. A torch frame 43 supported by the frame 37 with a pin 42 is supported by a heat resisting roller 44 made to contact by pressure to the shell 21 with a spring 50. A torch base 47 of the tip of a torch spindle 46 makes the tip of a torch 48 position at a weld zone 23 by a rotation of a motor 45 by a side sensor of the torch 48. The torch 48 executes exactly and satisfactorily welding of a shell horizontal joining part along the shell outside wall surface by shifting the truck 25 by a motor 29 and adjusting a position of the torch by the sensor. |
