<p>The invention relates to a transport trolley having a trolley frame consisting of metal with wheels and having at least one loadable basket attached to the trolley frame. In such known transport trolleys, the baskets consisting of metal are welded to the trolley frame or screwed tight in such a way that they cannot be separated from one another by the normal user. Due to the entire metal structure, the known shopping trolleys are heavy and expensive to manufacture. In addition, metal components of the known transport trolleys are coated with chrome in order to make their surface stainless so that the transport trolleys are all of the same appearance. However, different businesses or supermarkets in which such transport trolleys are used desire their transport trolleys to be clearly distinguished from those of other businesses. According to the invention, these disadvantages are avoided in that the basket consists of plastic or light-weight metal in a light-weight construction and is attached in a removeable way to the trolley frame. Baskets consisting specially of plastic are light and in respect of the colouring of the plastic or of the surface design can be manufactured with an extraordinarily small amount of expenditure in such a way that they have a different appearance for each customer.
