PURPOSE:To erase ghost effectively by making the content of the first tap gain memory to that obtained by transferrring the content of the second tap gain memory in a specified section of vertical blanking period including horizontal scanning line on which character broadcast signals are superposed. CONSTITUTION:When using a front edge part of a vertical synchronizing signal as a reference signal for detection, a changeover switch 53 is brought down to (a) side and (b) side alternately for each field for the section near vertical synchronizing waveform. A tap gain memory to which a tap gain correction algorithm 44 accesses synchronously makes a tap gain memory II 46 and a tap gain memory III 47 to alternate. At this time, tap gain of C-M-CN-M-1(C1'=C-M'C2' =C-M+1-) is stored in the memory II 46 and tap memory of CL+1-CL+N (C'= CL+1, C2'=CL+2-) is stored in the memory III 47. Here, the content of an input waveform memory 41 is made the same for each field. However, the content of an output waveform memory 42 corresponds to two operation modes of a waveform equalizing circuit 60' respectively. |
