PURPOSE:To obtain the titled apparatus in which the handling is performed extremely simply by adopting the motive power transferring system using a magnetic joint in a horizontal plating apparatus in which a jig for plating is rotated with a horizontal shaft. CONSTITUTION:A holding stand 3 of a rotary shaft 6 wherein the upper end is pivoted on the frame edge 2 of a plating vessel 1 is horizontally positioned in the inside of the plating vessel 1 in which the upper face is opened and a jig 11 for plating is inserted into and fitted to the shaft 6 projecting to the upper side. Then, the shaft 6 is made horizontal by positioning vertically the stand 3 in the liquid and also the tip of an electric feeder shaft 12 connected with the jig 11 is joined to the lower end of an indenter lever 16 which is vertically fitted to the frame edge 2 and connected with an electric line in the one end. Then, current is fed via the rod 16 and the articles (a) to be plated are made cathodes via the jig 11 and successively a motor 18 of outside of the vessel and the stirrers 21 are driven and rotated in forward and reverse direction. In this way, the shaft 6 is driven via magnetic joints 20, 7 which are properly provided to the opposite position of the driving shaft of the motor 18 and the shaft 6 to perform the electroplating.
