PURPOSE:To suppress the fuel cell output voltage within upper and lower tolerances and allow starting compensation by connecting a rectifying circuit in parallel to a serial circuit of a resistor and a switch and providing power supplies for the lower limit voltage and for starting compensation. CONSTITUTION:When a DC circuit breaker 5 is opened due to an accident, etc. of a load device 6 under rated operations, a switch 8 is turned on, thereby the fuel cell output power is suppressed to its upper tolerance Eh and is not increased to the no-load voltage Eo. When the voltage of a fuel cell 1 tends to be decreased to the lower tolerance El or lower via the flow throttle action of the fuel gas 3, 4 due to the operation stop, a rectifier 10 connected to a power supply 11 corresponding to the lower tolerance El via a transfer switch 13 is released from its reverse bias and is held at the lower tolerance El. During the start, a relay 15 is activated by a delay detection circuit, the transfer switch 13 is transferred to a transfer switch 14, and a power is fed to a load device 6 through the rectifier 10 from a power supply 12 corresponding to the upper tolerance El. |
