PURPOSE:To obtain an ink ribbon with favorable feedability, by a method wherein a material obtained by adding talc or the like having a particle diameter of 0.01-0.2mm. to at least one specified resin in an amount of 5-60wt% is applied to both end parts in the width direction of an ink ribbon base fabric consisting of nylon or the like. CONSTITUTION:One or more of talc, calcium carbonate, silicon dioxide, clay, kaolin and alumina having an average particle diameter of 0.01-0.2mm. are added to a solution of one or more resins selected from an acrylic resin, a vinyl chloride-ethylene copolymer resin, a vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer resin, nylon, ethyl cellulose, polyurethane, chlorinated rubber, shellac and the like in an amount of 5-60wt% based on the resin solid component to prepare a coating liquid. The coating liquid is applied to both ends in the width direction of a thermoplastic ink ribbon base fabric over a width of 0.2-1.5mm. by a roll coater or the like, to provide rough surfaces having a roughness equivalent to that of a #200-#30 emery-paper. |
