PURPOSE:To optimize the formation of a molding sand coating layer and to improve the accuracy of a casting mold by coating spottedly an adhesive agent to the adhering surface of split cores by a coating jig so that the removal of the adhesive agent in the stage of eluting the cores is made easy. CONSTITUTION:The discoid adhesive agent coating jig 2 made of a synthetic resin film at a prescribed thickness is concentrically imposed on the adhering surface 1a of at least one core 1a of the split cores 1A, 1B made of wax consisting of polyethylene glycol, sodium bicarbonate. The jig 2 has zigzag many divided elliptical slits 2a1-2n and the inorg. adhesive agent 3 is spottedly separated and coated from above the jig 2 and thereafter the cores 1A, 1B are joined to manufacture the core 1. The spotted adhesive agent 3 can be easily removed in the stage of eluting the core 1 by an aq. hydrochloric acid soln. 7 after the expendable pattern 6 having the core 1 is formed. The adequate formation of the molding sand coating layer 8 on the pattern 6 is made possible by the above- mentioned method, by which the accuracy of the casting mold is improved. |
