PURPOSE:To smooth the proceeding of a main routine by restricting the operation of a shift resistor which is operated by knock pulses and generates overflow signals when the multiplication value on the basis of the count value for the overflow signals becomes over a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:A knocking controller is equipped with a comparator 3 which generates knock pulses when the output of a knocking sensor 1 is larger than the knocking judgement level after D/A conversion. the knock pulses supplied from the comparator 3 are inputted into a shift resistor 6 and shifts it, and the overflow signals outputted from the shift resistor 6 are counted by a counting means 7. The existence and the degree of the knocking are judged 10 by the result of the additon 9 of the multiplication value obtained by multiplying the counted value by a prescribed value and the holding value of the resistor 6. In this case, the above-described multiplication value is compared 22 with a prescribed value, and when the multiplication value is larger than the prescribed value, the operation of the counting means 7 is suspended. |
