PURPOSE:To enable fine adjusting of preload of journal bearing independently prior to assembling by providing loading means having one end fixed to the bearing body and adjusted load between a movable pivot and the bearing body. CONSTITUTION:The supporting section of rotary shaft 17 to be supported by a movable pivot 15 through a pad 16 is constructed with a resilient member or a coil spring 18, a spring stopper 19 for moving member to be restricted between the opposite ends of coil spring 18 and a spring fixing screw 20 for the restricting member, another restricting member for regulating the preload through the coil spring 18 or a load adjusting screw 22 having a screw drive groove 21, an insertion hole 24 for movable pivot made through the housing 23 and a nut 26 for firmly securing a spring screw 20 to be fixed to the upper screw groove 25 to the housing 23 of bearing body. The rigidity of coil spring 18 is regulated by means of said screw 20. |
