PURPOSE:To improve the riding feeling and to prevent defects from increasing by providing limiting means for limiting the direction of a current flowed to a main motor armature circuit in accordance with a driver's command. CONSTITUTION:When contacts 7, 7' are closed by a power drive command, a power drive current can be flowed from a trolley wire 4 through current blocking diodes 5, 5' to main motor armatures 2A, 2A', but a regenerative current of opposite direction is blocked by current blocking diodes 6, 6'. When contacts 8, 8' are closed by a brake command, a regenerative current can be flowed from the armatures 2A, 2A' through the diodes 6, 6' to the trolley wire 4, but the power drive current of the opposite direction is blocked by the diodes 6, 6'. |
