<p>A reduced-pressure casting method in which problems relating to seal performance, differential pressure, and the stability of the degree of pressure reduction are solved. The reduced-pressure casting method performs casting with the pressure in the die cavity reduced. In the method, after molten metal is poured from a molten metal inlet (6) of an injection sleeve (2), a pressure reduction chamber (11) surrounding the molten metal inlet (6) and that open end of the injection sleeve (2) that is on the opposite side of the die (1) is formed and, before the start of injection operation of an injection tip (3), pressure reduction in the pressure reduction chamber (11) and in the cavity (4) is started. At the time of the start of the pressure reduction, the injection tip (3) is placed closer to the open end (2a) of the injection sleeve (2) than the molten metal inlet (6), and this connects the pressure reduction chamber (11) and the inside of the injection sleeve (2) via the molten metal inlet (6).</p> |
