PURPOSE:To restrict an increase in the total length of a transmission gear so as to avoid any alteration in the structure of a car frame by arranging an intermediate shaft and an auxiliary shaft in parallel to an input shaft and a main power shaft respectively and an auxiliary transmission mechanism in parallel to a main transmission mechanism. CONSTITUTION:An auxiliary transmission mechanism 37 is arranged closer to a clutch 2 in parallel to a main transmission mechanism 36. Consequently, the length of the transmission gears in the axial direction is hardly increased except the size of a reduction gear 41 caused by additional installation of an auxiliary transmission mechanism 37. Accordingly, an excessively small clearance between a suspension mechanism and a transmission gear 3 can never happen even in the case of F/F automobile, duly requiring no amendment of design in this part so that any basic change in the transmission gear 3 and the body frame structure can be avoided. |
