PURPOSE:To obtain an accurate linear motor by winding a wire or strip of a magnetic material on the poles of a movable element at a movable axis at the prescribed interval, thereby facilitating the manufacture and selecting the material of the poles to hve excellent characteristics. CONSTITUTION:A wire or strip of a magnetic material is would in the prescribed width around a movable axis, and repeated in a plurality of turns at the prescribed interval to form a movable element 1 having poles 1a-1l. Stator cores 2a-2e on which exciting coils 3a-3e are respectively wound are disposed oppositely to the element 1 to construct a linear motor. Thus, the width of the poles 1a-1l and the interval of the poles can be accurately formed, and the magnetic characteristics of the poles 1a-1l can be arbitrarily set. Accordingly, a linear motor which has a high torque, high resolution and high efficiency can be obtained. |
