PURPOSE:To use channels effective by decoding a message following a designating signal in response to reception of the designating signal in a radio selective call receiver using a call signal consisting of a frame synchronizing signal, a selective call signal, the designating signal, and the message signal. CONSTITUTION:When a desired radio frequency comes, a reception signal is detected through an antenna 10, a radio part 20, and a waveform shaping circuit 30. If the receiver has a corresponding individual selective call number ID, a voltage is applied continuously to the radio part. When a following frame synchronizing signal SC is detected, contents of a P-ROM50 where ID of the receiver itself and the reception signal are compared and collated with each other. If the coincidence between them is confirmed, the message signal following the ID signal is processed by a processing part 60 of message data MD, and received message data is outputted through a buffer 70. |
