PURPOSE:To produce a foamed material having excellent surface texture, easily, in high productivity, by crosslinking the surface of a molded article of unvulcanized rubber containing a foaming agent with electron ray, and heating, vulcanizing and foaming the material. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a molded article of an unvulcanized rubber composition containing a foaming agent is irradiated with electron ray at a dose of 0.1-50Mrad to form a crosslinked surface layer, and the article is vulcanized and foamed with heat. The thickness of the surface layer is from several mu to several hundred mu. |
