PURPOSE:To prevent an error in manual focusing by driving selectively display means to display the rotating direction of a distance ring and the focusing point of time by the tendency to the increase or decrease of the distance measuring signal from a distance measuring optical system and the turning direction of the distance ring. CONSTITUTION:The quantity of the incident light to a photodetecting element 1c decreases according to turning of the distance ring and a signal is outputted from the output terminal N of a circuit 3 for discriminating an inclination direction when the distance ring is turned toward the remote focus side in the case in which the focus of a photographing lens exists on the side inner than a subject. On the other hand, a switch 6 for detecting the turning direction is connected to the side (b) by turning of the distance ring to the remote focus side and therefore a display element 7 on the near focus side is lighted. Then a signal is outputted from the output terminal P of the circuit 3 when a user turns the distance ring toward the near focus side. On the other hand, the switch 6 is changed over to the side (a) and therefore the element 7 is kept lighted in succession. The lighting of the display element changes over to the element 8 to indicate that the photographing lens is focused to the subject when the distance ring is kept turned in the above-mentioned manner. |
