A communication terminal and a method for receiving input of a key through an input device are provided to output an input interface suitable for each state of the communication terminal on a touch screen, thereby performing various functions of the communication terminal only through simple input. An interface storage unit(210) stores input interfaces respectively corresponding to a plurality of states of a communication terminal device. A touch screen unit(220) outputs one of the input interfaces correspondingly to the current state of the communication terminal device, and receives input of a key through the outputted input interface. A display unit(230) outputs information indicating the input of a key when the input of a key is received through the outputted input interface. |
