PURPOSE:To regulate viscosity of a recording fluid which is discharged at the time of droplet discharge by applying, to a heater, signals for heating the recording fluid and electric signals for droplet discharge, if necessary, that are not used for recording, immediately before application of electric signals for droplet discharge to the heater. CONSTITUTION:Immediately before application of an electrical signal for discharge of droplets to be used for recording to a heater 13, a signal for heating of a recording fluid is applied. The signal for heating of the recording fluid is an electric signal for heating the recording fluid with use of the heater 13 up to the temperature in which the viscosity of the recording fluid suitable for a good condition of the recording fluid discharge is obtained and, yet, droplets are not discharged. And the signal is generated from a heating signal generating means. |
