<p>The present invention relates to a process for breaking emulsions and suspensions, which can be used more particularly in the purification of industrial sewage, wherein, accompanied by stirring the emulsions and suspensions to be treated are treated by means of a liquid reagent chosen from the aqueous dispersions and solutions comprising: (a) an adsorbent substance and (b) aluminium or an aluminium derivative, particularly AlCl3, Al2O3, Al(OH)3, said liquid reagent being obtained from water, products (a) and (b) and a substance chosen from acids and bases, in such a way that the microcrystals of the aluminium derivatives are associated with the active sites of (a).</p> |
