PURPOSE:To prevent attenuation of a light signal even if an adhesive agent shrinks with an environmental change by incorporating an aligning block through which an optical element is passed while keeping said block energized at all times to the side where an optical fiber is inserted and forming dovetail grooves to the through-hole. CONSTITUTION:The aligning block 17 is formed by allowing the central axis X of the through-hole 17a slightly larger than the optical element 14 to coincide with the axis of the element 14 and by fixing the element 14 to the hole 17a with adhesive agent. Since the dovetail grooves 17b are formed to the hole 17a, the shift of the element 14 is prevented by the grooves 17b even if the fiber is disengaged from the adhesion owing to an environmental change. The attenuation of the light signal is thus prevented. In addition, the optical fiber 3 and the element 14 are held always in proximity to each other by a spring 18 to decrease the light loss. Since the block 17 is kept energized at all times to the fiber 3 side by the spring 18, the fiber 3 and the element 14 are held always in proximity to each other even if the part above the element 14 is not correctly sized on account of a production error.
