PURPOSE:To form a polymer picture image by dry treatment and to obtain a polymer picture image having high sensitivity even for a small light amt. for exposure by using a photopolymerizable sensitizing dye pattern formed by the reduction of a photopolymerizable sensitizing dye distributing uniformly in a photopolymerization layer to form a polymer picture image by the photoamplification, and forming a dye picture image using the pattern of said polymer picture image. CONSTITUTION:A silver halide photosensitive material contg. a reducing agent (developing agent) forms a latent image when it is image-exposed, and when the latent image is developed by heating, silver image is developed in the exposed part when the silver halide emulsion is a usual negative type one as shown by (B). The developing agent is thereby oxidized simultaneously. When the developed product (B) is laid closely to a photopolymerization layer and heated, the reducing agent remaining in the unexposed part is transferred by diffusion to the photopolymerization layer and the photopolymerizable sensitizing dye is bleached remaining a dye pattern in the part corresponding to the silver image (unexposed part), as illustrated in (C). When the photopolymarization layer is exposed uniformly as shown by (D), a polymer image (nega-posi-type) corresponding to the dye image is formed. The polymer picture image formed by this process is developed in the final stage depending on the purpose of the image suitably and final picture image is obtd. |
