PURPOSE:To increase recording speed to maintain recording characteristics at high level by lessening the heat release effieicncy of a substrate part forward of a heating element as compared to that of the substrate part behind with referance to the moving direction of a thermal head. CONSTITUTION:A clearance 20 is formed between a ceramic layer 2a and an aluminium layer 2b in a substrate part forward of a heating element 3 with regard to the moving direction of a thermal head against recording paper during recording. Then the heat release efficiency of a substrate 2 part forward of the heating element 3 is lowered than that of the substrate 2 part behind. A part for recording paper opposed to the part forward of the thermal head substrate is heated comparatively rapidly through a position opposed to the heating element. |
