发明名称 TEMPERATURE MEASURING APPARATUS FOR MOLTEN METAL
摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To measure temperature continuously at a high accuracy, by arranging an optical fiber type structure using a temperature measuring tube to jet inert gas through a temperature gauge hole and tiny holes provided in the perimeter thereof. CONSTITUTION:Inert gas such as Ar is supplied through a purge piping 4 con nected to the rear end of a temperature measuring nozzle. The inert gas is jet into a molten metal 7 through a temperature measuring hole 1-1 into which an optical fiber 5 is inserted and numerous tiny holes 1-2 arranged in the perime ter thereof. Then, the inert gas thus jet turns to small bubbles in the metal 7 so that the metal 7 in the perimeter of the temperature measuring hole 1-1 is stirred up with the bubbling action to prevent the lowering of the temperature thereof 7. On the other hand, the optical fiber 5 transmits heat radiant energy radiated from the metal 7 to a radiation thermometer 9. Then, the radiation thermometer 9 detects the temperature of the metal 7 from the heat radiant energy to be shown on a display 10.</p>
