发明名称 MANUFACTURE OF POSITIVE ELECTRODE FOR NONAQUEOUS SOLVENT BATTERY
摘要 PURPOSE:To increase mechanical strength of a cylindrical positive electrode by inserting a rubber molding fitted with a metal current collector and a carbon black mixture which serves as a positive electrode into a mold, and supplying fluid into the rubber molding to press the carbon mixture. CONSTITUTION:A lower punch 13 is fitted in a mold 12 having a through hole 11. A rubber molding 16 inside which a core rod 14 is fitted and outside which a cylindrical metal current collector 15 is placed and a carbon black mixture having polytetrafluoroethylene as a binder are inserted into the through hole 11 and they are set by an upper punch 18. The core rod 14 is drawn out, and oil 19 is supplied into the rubber molding to expand the rubber molding. The mixture 17 is pressed in the direction of diameter for bonding carbon black molding 21 with the current collector 15. Accordingly, a positive electrode 22 of a lithium thionyl chloride battery is formed. Therefore, mechanical strength of the positive electrode is remarkably increased, and defect in contact of positive electrode with current collector and breakage of electrode in assembly process are prevented.
