发明名称 INSTRUMENT FOR DETERMINING BASE SEQUENCE OF NUCLEIC ACID
摘要 PURPOSE:To determine the base sequence of nucleic acid with high accuracy at a high speed by disposing a bar-shaped scintillator in the direction perpendicular to an electrophoresis direction and detecting continuously the radiations from the fragment of the nucleic acid labeled by the radioactive isotope to be migrated. CONSTITUTION:The components having the same mol.wt. migrate from a negative electrode toward a positive electrode in approximate proportion to the logarithm of the mol.wt. while forming respectively migration nozes 4 when the sample of the nucleic acid labeled by the radioactive isotope is supplied to the negative side slot 5 of a gel 2 for migration sepn. and is migrated by a voltage E. The radiations from the fragment of the nucleic acid are detected through four pieces of slits 8 by the bar-shaped scintillator 11 fixed horizontally to a glass plate 3 and the generated fluorescences are detected by photodetectors 12A, 12B. The outputs thereof are fed via a signal processing circuit 14 to a computer 15 and the input thereof is arithmetically processed, by which the base sequence of the nucleic acid is determined with high accuracy at a high speed.
