PURPOSE:To perform the regulation of component of a galvanizing bath easily and efficiently by using Zn-Ni base alloy contg. Ni of specified quantity as the regulation of component and composition of the galvanizing bath contg. Ni. CONSTITUTION:As a plating bath used in the case of performing galvanization, a galvanizing bath contg. 0.03-2.0wt% Ni and 0.001-0.01wt% Al is used. When the galvanizing bath contg. Ni of this range is used, the adhesive property of the metallic deposit for the material to be plated is excellent and the galvanized deposit of superior quality is obtained. Since oxidizable Al and Zn are oxidized to form dross while the plating bath is used and the component and composition of the plating bath are changed, Zn-Ni base alloy of 1-2.5wt% Ni is used to maintain the normal component range and the plating bath is regulated so that the concn. distribution of Ni incorporated in the plating bath is uniform. Still more, the regulation of component of Al and Zn is performed by the addition of Zn-Al base alloy and Zn ground metal.
