An illuminating light source, a scanner module having the same, and an image scanning apparatus are provided to compensate for a light intensity deviation between center and peripheral portions by arranging different electrode structures on the center and peripheral portions. An illuminating light source includes a vacuum tube(31), a discharge electrode(40), and a fluorescent material(33). A discharge gas is filled in the vacuum tube. An outlet portion is formed in a length direction of the cylindrical vacuum tube. The discharge electrode is formed outside the vacuum tube. A cross-section of the discharge electrode is getting bigger from a center portion to a peripheral portion in a length direction of the vacuum tube. The fluorescent material is formed in the vacuum tube. The fluorescent material absorbs a first beam, emitted by the discharge gas, and emits a second beam, whose wavelength is longer than the first beam. The second beam is irradiated through the outlet portion.
