A non-aqueous electrolyte for a lithium secondary battery is provided to impart improved lifespan characteristic and storage characteristics to a lithium secondary battery. A non-aqueous electrolyte for a lithium secondary battery comprises: an electrolyte comprising a non-aqueous organic solvent containing at least one solvent selected from the group consisting of carbonate, ester, ether and ketone solvents, and a lithium salt dissolved in the non-aqueous organic solvent; and additives including a vinyl ethylene carbonate compound represented by the following formula 1 and a halogenated ethylene carbonate represented by the following formula 2. In the formulae, each of R1, R2, R3 and R4 represents H or a C2-C6 hydrocarbon having a double bond, with the proviso that at least one of them represents a C2-C6 hydrocarbon having a double bond; X is a halogen atom; Y is H or a halogen atom; and each of n and m is 1 or 2.
