METHOD FOR PREPARATION OF CATALYST FILTERS AND PREPARATION APPARATUS

A method and an apparatus for manufacturing a catalytic filter are provided to manufacture a stable catalytic filter having strong adhesion force between the filter carrier and catalyst particles through simple process and system, and manufacture catalytic filters with various shapes by applying a colloid solution to a filter carrier promptly and uniformly and enabling fine patterns to be coated. An apparatus for manufacturing a catalytic filter comprises: a solution preparing unit(10) including a chamber(11) into which an additive-containing solvent and a catalyst are injected respectively, and an agitator(13) installed at one side of the chamber to agitate the solvent and catalyst that have been injected into the chamber to prepare a colloid solution(S); an injection unit(20) including a pipe(21) connected to the chamber to transfer the colloid solution, a conductive injection nozzle(23) installed on one end of the pipe to inject the colloid solution transferred from the pipe onto a filter carrier(F), and a voltage applying part(26) connected to the injection nozzle to supply a voltage to the injection nozzle; and a pressing unit installed at one side of the spray unit to adhere the catalyst onto the filter carrier by heating and pressing the filter carrier onto which the colloid solution has been sprayed. The spray unit additionally includes a metering pump(27) installed at one side of the pipe to adjust the amount of the colloid solution transferred to the spray nozzle. Further, the injection unit is a spray nozzle sprayed by a spray method or a jet nozzle injected by a jet method.
