A car braking apparatus using a tire pressure monitoring system is provided to reduce manufacturing costs and processes by needing no additional wheel speed sensor. A car braking apparatus using a TPMS(tire pressure monitoring system) comprises a tire pneumatic pressure sensor(20), a low frequency interface(13), a control unit(15) and a braking system. The tire pneumatic pressure sensor is installed inside a tire, converts tire pneumatic pressure into a tire pneumatic pressure signal, and transfers it. The low frequency interface is installed to a wheel of each tire, and transfers the tire pneumatic pressure signal supplied from the tire pneumatic pressure sensor in a low frequency signal type. The control unit receives the tire pneumatic pressure signal of the low frequency interface generated whenever the wheel is rotated a cycle, and calculates angular wheel speed on the base of the tire pneumatic pressure signal supplied from each tire. The braking system controls braking of a car on the base of the angular wheel speed of the control unit. |
