PURPOSE:To ensure the smooth actuation of a magnetic head loading mechanism and at the same time to control the speed when the head is loaded into the disk with no breakdown, by turning a rotary electromagnetic driving means which can control the speed when the head is inserted in place of a linear solenoid. CONSTITUTION:A rotary shaft 22 has reciprocating motions between a position which is in contact with a stopper 27, and a still position 25 in accordance with energization to a coil 24. When a disk 14 is rotated by driving a rotary electromagnetic driving means 13, a pin 21 turns on the end part of a coupling member 17 around a support shaft 19. Then a magnetic head 2 is loaded and unloaded with up/down movements of the member 17. The torque of the shaft 22 can be greatly reduced at the end position of its revolution. Thus the breakdown due to the collision between the head and the disk can be avoided by selecting the rotational frequency of the shaft 22 in response to its revolution end position and the loading end of the head. |
