摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain the same effect as the arrangement of the length of optical fibers from a star coupler to each communication equipment by giving a prescribed waiting time from a point of time detecting the end of signal transmission of other station to a point of time when the signal transmission of the own station is started. CONSTITUTION:After a transmission data is stored once in a transmission buffer 31, a transmission request signal is transmitted to a transmission control circuit 30. The circuit 30 starts transmission when both transmission waiting control signals 19, 37 are logical ''0'', and after a prescribed length of redundancy bit is generated from a redundancy bit generator 18, a transmission data is changed into an optical signal at a transmitter 2 from the buffer 31 and transmitted to the other communication station via an optical fiber 5a and the star coupler 4. When an output exists in a reception detecting circuit 27 within a time set by a timer circuit 25, the circuit 30 stops immediately the transmission. When the other station finishes the transmission and after an output signal 37 of the circuit 27 is logical ''0'', the result is delayed at a delay circuit 29 by a delay time TD so as to await the transmission of the own station. When the signal 37 reaches logical ''0'' after the time TD, the circuit 30 starts the transmissioi succeedingly. The time TD is decided depending on the distance from the coupler 4.
