PURPOSE:To make it possible to certainly know the ending of recording paper beforehand, by providing visible end marks to both front and back surfaces of the recording paper while providing an end mark for a sensor only to the back surface thereof so that the start end thereof is shifted so as to come up close to the terminal part of the recording paper from the start end of each visible end mark. CONSTITUTION:Recording paper 1 has visual end marks 5 provided to both front and back surfaces thereof and also has an end mark 6 for a sensor provided only to the back surface thereof (the opposite side of a surface to be recorded). Each of the visible end marks 5 has a color not inhibiting a recording picture such as red or light color while the end mark for the sensor has a black or dark color so as to be capable of being certainly detected by the sensor. The start end 6a of the end mark 6 is positioned so as to come up close to the terminal part of the recording paper 1 from the start end 5a of each visible end mark 5. Therefore, when the residual amount of the recording paper is reducing, at first, a user knows that the ending of the recording is near by the visible end marks 5 and, thereafter, the sensor detects the end mark 6 for the sensor to stop recording operation. |
