PURPOSE:To perform the operation display and the washing period display with a single indicator lamp in an electrostatic air cleaner by providing the indicator lamp for operating state and turning on or flashing the indicator lamp by means of the signal transmitted from an output voltage detecting means. CONSTITUTION:A dust collecting element consists of a positive electrode 1 and negative electrodes 2a, 2b and is connected with a high voltage power source device 3 generating high frequency and high voltage is impressed between the positive and negative electrodes to collect dust. A washing period displaying device B is connected with high voltage power source drive and provided with an indicator lamp PL for operating state. An output voltage detecting means is provided to the high voltage power source device and the signal therefrom is sent to the indicator lamp and the lamp is continuously turned on in the operation time and when the dust collection reaches the prescribed quantity, the indicator lamp is flashed by the washing period displaying signal.
