PURPOSE:To reuse a boiler tube having worn studs and to provide the satisfactory functions thereof by polishing the outside peripheral surface of said tube and welding the fresh stud bolts to the polished surfaces by a capacitor type welding machine. CONSTITUTION:A refractory material 4, etc. clad on the boiler tube 1 are first washed away when the many studs 3 projected on the surface of the tube 1 are worn. The space 5 parts among the studs 3 on the surface of the tube 1 are then polished. The new studs 6 are pressed to such polished surface and are welded by the welding machine of a capacitor type. The new studs 6 and the spaces 5 of the tube 1 are instantaneously welded and therefore no thermal stress strain generates in the boiler tube body 2. The sure regeneration of a required number and length of the studs is made possible without being affected by the remaining studs according to the above-mentioned repair method. |
