PURPOSE:To process reading of information from a medium with plural magnetic disk devices in parallel so as to improve the performance drop, by reading only the first physical block and final physical block which become partial writing from the medium in a storage means in a magnetic disk processing device. CONSTITUTION:When partial writing instructions are given to magnetic disk devices ''0'' and ''N'' from a host device, improvement of the processing performance becomes possible by reading from the physical block nearer to the position of a head by using the rotating angle detecting mechanism, etc., of the magnetic disk devices. The reading is performed, for example, in the order of the final physical block of the magnetic disk device ''0'', the first physical block of the magnetic disk device ''N'', the first physical block of the device ''0'', and the final physical block of the device ''N''. Moreover, when the switching operation of a cylinder is required between the first physical block and final physical block, the first physical block is read after the final physical block is read by taking the next reading operation into consideration.
